Business relationship management is the link between the IT service provider and the organisation. The process ensures that the service provider is able to provide services that the organisation requires, and is a key process to manage customer satisfaction.
From a strategic perspective, this allows IT to understand requirements from the point of view of the organisation, and this means that the IT service provider can provision investment and assets in the right areas. It also builds a strong relationship between IT and the organisation which is invaluable in ensuring that both are heading in the same strategic direction.
