This article provides an overview and summary of the COBIT 5 process Ensure Stakeholder Transparency, which is part of the Governance – Evaluate, Direct and Monitor domain.

The purpose of this COBIT 5 process if to ensure that IT performance and conformance measurement and reporting are transparent, with effective and timely communication with the key stakeholders. This is to increase performance, identify improvements, and confirm alignment of IT and organisation objectives and strategies.

The following sub-governance processes are further supported by a list of control activities:

  1. Evaluate stakeholder reporting requirements. Continually assess current and future requirements for stakeholder communication and reporting.
  2. Direct stakeholder communication and reporting. Implement effective stakeholder communication and reporting, including mechanisms for ensuring the quality and completeness of information.
  3. Monitor stakeholder communication. Monitor the effectiveness of stakeholder communication.
